I save one amaryllis from year to year and it is currently my only house plant of promised pulchritude, even as winter is still very much with us. Last year it bloomed in gorgeous quadruplicate. It is growing a baby stalk on the side, and the main stalk is measuring 25 1/2 inches. In the bright sunshine today the bud cracked open a bit. I enjoy watching the fast growth of this bulb every year. How many blooms will arise out of the stalk this year? Will it be in bloom by our March Easter?
